Infrared Inspection Training: Maximize your Predictive Maintenance Program through the use of Infrared

The WassHale Group is proud to present a revolutionary new training program designed to help you get the most out of your infrared camera and maximize the return on investment within your PM program.

Most infrared training programs do an outstanding job of teaching new thermographers the physics behind infrared and how to accurately measure temperatures. What they DON'T teach you is how to set up the infrared program within your individual facility. This is typically left up to the new thermographer who finds that he or she must "re-invent the wheel" and start from scratch to establish the IR inspection program.

Our 1-day, On-Site training program will customize a program to your individual facility. Our instructor will go over the most important fundamentals of a successful infrared inspection program. He will guide your thermographers through the intricacies of camera operation, facility inspection, information gathering, and report processing. We'll even help you establish a route to maximize your efficiency.

  1. Camera Operation - Getting to know your new camera: Camera operations, set up, and capabilities; learn to put it to work for you.

  2. Infrared Basics - The science behind Infrared: We'll touch on this aspect in a way that will help you understand how infrared behaves and why it is such a unique medium within which to work.

  3. Inspections - Get out there and do it! Our instructor will guide you through a "Hands-on" walk through of your facility. You'll learn proper imaging techniques, what to image, and tips and tricks from one of the Infrared World's premier Thermographers. We also help you develop a plan to include all of the critical equipment in the facility into an inspection route. There are many facets to acquiring good data and images that make that masterpiece report and they are right here in this training.

  4. Data Management - It is critically important to transfer the images from the infrared camera and visual camera into a computer. We need to sort out and store all of the inspection data appropriately so we can find it with ease at anytime.

  5. Reports - Reports are the "meat and potatoes" of what we do. Learn to assemble, analyze and display the information in a professional report. We will also demonstrate how to update the report to show correct and effective repairs.

  6. Successful Program Sequence - This is where the "rubber meets the road". As the infrared program grows and develops, it must gain more and more significance. That significance will demonstrate to management that this program is well worth the investment and fits perfectly into any refined and perpetuating business plan.

  7. Continuing Education - This course is designed to introduce the world of thermography in a practical perspective, a "how to" perspective. You, the new thermographer are encouraged to continue your education through FLIR™ Systems at their Infrared Training Center (ITC) by attending a Level I Certification Course.

How does my infrared camera work? What can I inspect with it? How do I set up a route? When is the "best" time to do an inspection? What do I do with the data now that I've collected it? How do I prepare a report? How do I benchmark data? How do I document cost savings?

Answers to these questions (and more!) will be revealed during your customized, on-site training!
